Where did Cassie go?

—
Once upon a time, there was a Bhanvra and a Bichoo. They’d had a pretty rough time of it getting to be the sun of their father and mother – the Sun and the Moon.
Now theirs was to live and die, fight and fly
by the rhythms of the tides, Indra,
flowers, rainbows, unicorns standing by
one terrifying day, the monkeys started sprinting across
the tops of the mighty evergreens at the far edge
of their everlake and the Bhanvra and Bichoo knew
the Fox had arrived
that snake! it must have bit a monkey at last
the monkey would have lost control
gone too far, made enemies
and now the wolves were a’coming.
quick, said the Bhanvra, I’ll take the sky
you take the sea
we will see then what’s meant to be
the Bichoo cursed and dove under
the Bhanvra kissed the last flower and
rose under
and to this day, the butterflies
marry the twain. while the mother of the Shebas
wails as she wars
Where did my Cassie go
where o where did my kassi go
oh I miss her so
i miss her so.
